How to Stop Smoking Cigarettes - Solution

The use of tobacco products, especially of cigarettes, has killed more people in history than almost any other activity outside of global warfare. And even then it might be a neck-and-neck race between tobacco and war, that's how harmful smoking can be. The matter of how to stop smoking cigarettes, then, should be of importance to any smoker, if he or she knows what is good for them.

Ideally, the first thing to know about how to stop smoking cigarettes is that no cessation will be successful without the development of a plan for stopping. Waking up one morning and deciding to quit is a good thing. Waking up, quitting, and then going through the day without a plan for supporting that cessation will generally lead to failure.

. So take some time to map out a strategy of putting down cigarettes once and for all.
Also, how to stop smoking cigarettes can involve a combination of nicotine patches or one of several new prescription drugs on the market which can help to lessen both the physical and mental dependency which smoking cultivates in a person.
Normally a patch of certain nicotine strength is worn on the skin, and is then gradually reduced in strength over a period of weeks, until the body is physically weaned off the nicotine.

For those uncomfortable with artificial chemical patches or drugs, how to stop smoking cigarettes requires a bit more willpower and thoughtfulness. A smart person will take advantage of mental relaxation and meditative techniques, the substitution of a cigarette in the mouth with some other product like gum or hard candy, and even a fake plastic cigarette. This item can deliver a very small dose of nicotine, and will help with the weaning process.

In almost every instance in how to stop smoking cigarettes, a person's genuine desire to give up cigarettes can act as an effective multiplier for just about any cessation program.
When in doubt, consult with a health professional or a smoking cessation specialist before quitting smoking, and always remember to work on developing a plan that can implemented to aid in cessation. The chances for ultimate success are increased greatly when a thoughtful and attainable set of goals is developed.

5 Steps to Quit Smoking Pot - The Beginning

To quit smoking marijuana you need a plan of action, a way forward and a reason and motivation stronger than your cravings to get through it. Many people who try to quit however do so in a haphazard way thinking that it will either be easy and having no plan except to stop or perhaps they know it is going to be hard and their plan of action is hampered by fear and a lack of understanding of the driving forces of their addiction.

Steps to quit smoking pot at the very beginning are a vital thing to lay the groundwork for a successful break from smoking marijuana but do need to be modified for circumstance. Here are 5 steps you can take immediately to get you started!

1. Remove Temptation to Smoke Marijuana
There is a certain amount of intellectual dishonesty that many addicts entertain when they resolve to quit smoking weed that is a major indicator of not really committing and allowing a relapse and that is often to do with not removing the temptation to smoke completely. If you really want to quit do not leave anything to do with smoking pot around the house for instance.

Get rid of all your stash, all your bongs and smoking paraphernalia as well as lighters or any 'stoner' culture stuff like posters and so on. Purge it from your life to remove longing and triggers for cravings. If you let it become EASY to take it back up again you are actually leaving the door to relapse wide open often out of fear of change and fear you cannot handle life without it.

2. Start a Quitting Marijuana Diary
Marijuana addiction is primarily a psychological problem can be a period of highs and lows emotionally as you struggle to come to terms with cravings, social changes and often becoming more honest with your situation and problems in your own life.
During this period you will have periods where you will on top of the world and intensely proud of yourself. These periods can often be punctuated with others where you may feel so low and desperate for some pot that you will forget that incredible natural high.

To this end it is vital to keep positive and keeping a diary of those high points (not the low ones!) is a really good way to remind yourself when you are feeling down of what you have accomplished and how good it feels to be clean to motivate yourself and remind yourself of how far you have come.

3. Start a Detox
The chemicals in marijuana are not nearly as addictive or as strong as some other drugs out there but the primary ingredient THC does do things to your body and can make quitting marijuana harder as it works its way out of system and can give major mood swings, insomnia, vivid dreams and other mild but difficult withdrawal symptoms. To lessen the effect of this eating well, drinking lots of water and exercising regularly is a good way to speed up the process and is just a good idea anyway.

4. Reveal Your Intentions To Quit Smoking Pot
The social implication of quitting pot has a much larger impact on your success than many people give it credit with many marijuana smokers have a social network of other smokers who may see nothing wrong with their lifestyle.
Some face ridicule and ostracism from these friends or have a self imposed exile from these friends in order to stay away from temptation and second hand smoke which has its benefits but can have added social stress because of this.

Trying to keep it secret though is just going to be a burden on your efforts so being open and honest with those around you will gain people who will help you get through it if they are supportive and may weed out (forgive the pun) those that you probably do not want to be around anyway.

However this can seem a little harsh because most other pot heads may become cold towards you not because they do not like your new direction but because they will see it as an insult against their own smoking and lifestyle, if you can reveal your plan to quit smoking marijuana to them in a way that conveys a message of acceptance of their lifestyle and a without hurting their feelings while promoting that this is just the right thing for your life at this point you may be able to keep these friends and perhaps even gain more allies who will help you too!

5. Discover Your Key Motivation
Another tip I cannot stress enough is that motivation and willpower are key to quitting weed and this element must be handled well. In the end your will to quit must be greater than your cravings and urges to get high and a loose idea that you will be better off without it is not good enough.

You must develop a single idea, a single vision of what you want your life to be like after quitting marijuana and always have this in the forefront of your mind. Some choose family, some choose success, some choose health but there are also a million other stories out there with their own key motivators.

Choose one and stick to it as it is your life raft to cling to while seas are rough and you feel like drowning!

The Secret Ingredients of Cigarette Smoke

Consider this:
With every puff taken from a cigarette, cigar or pipe, over 4000 chemicals are produced. Of these 4000 chemicals, 43 are positively identified as cancer-causing. If you were to consult this list of chemicals, you might be surprised to see what other substances share some of the same ingredients with tobacco smoke-like gasoline, bathroom cleaners and nail polish remover.
Whether you are trying to protect your own health or the health of non-smoking family members, it is important to know exactly what chemicals are left in the air after smoking and what you need to do to remove them.

Your furniture, draperies, carpets and walls are also affected by the chemicals found in cigarette smoke. You may have noticed that your walls are yellow, or that there is an extra build-up or dust and ash particles on furniture. Worst of all, the scent created by smoke seeps into porous surfaces, and is re-emitted over years and years. If it ever came time to resell your house, it would literally cost you thousands of dollars to undo the damage from tobacco smoke.

To give you a better idea of what hazardous chemicals are produced by a burning cigarette, here are some of the notably toxic ingredients in smoke-as well as some of the other substances that use these same chemicals:
Benzene a.k.a. Gasoline Additive - a highly potent cancer-causing chemical. Used as a solvent in fuels, it is a carcinogen as well as a chemical directly linked to leukemia.

Butane a.k.a. Lighter Fluid - a highly flammable chemical known to cause narcosis, asphyxia and cardiac arrhythmia.
Cadmium a.k.a. Battery Contents - most of the time, cadmium is used in producing batteries. It is known to cause cancer and is an occupational hazard that is very harmful if inhaled.
Formaldehyde a.k.a. Embalming Fluid - this is the extremely poisonous chemical used to preserve dead bodies. It is known to cause cancer, respiratory, skin and gastrointestinal problems.

DDT a.k.a Illegal Insecticide- a synthesized chemical that kills pests as well as non-pests. It is linked to cancer, (especially breast cancer), developmental and reproductive problems in humans.
Lead a.k.a. Wall Paint - a poisonous metal that was at one time used in paint. Lead paint is no longer made because of danger of lead poisoning.

Naphthalene a.k.a. Moth Balls - large amounts or exposure damage or destroy red blood cells.
Ammonia a.k.a. Toilet Bowl Cleaner - this chemical is found in many cleaning products and is used in cigarettes as a sort of "flavor enhancer" that helps deliver more nicotine to the bloodstream.
Acetone a.k.a Nail Polish Remover - a very toxic and volatile chemical present in cigarette smoke
Tar a.k.a. Ashy Particulate - a powdery particulate that is found in every puff of a cigarette. 70% of the tar inhaled into lungs stays there (for good).

Nicotine a.k.a. Insecticide/Addictive Substance - nicotine is claimed to be the most addictive substance to man and is considered a medical and non-medical poison.

Carbon Monoxide a.k.a. Car Exhaust - an odorless, tasteless poisonous gas that is often used for suicides (running a car in a closed garage) because of its rapid, fatal effects.

Arsenic a.k.a. Rat Poison - cancer causing element found in poisons and insecticides (the farmers who used arsenic as an insecticide spray for fruit trees suffered from brain damage)

Hydrogen Cyanide a.k.a. Gas Chamber Poison - this gas is so effective at killing humans that it was used in executions and mass murders, like those from the Holocaust. It is no longer used for executions, because it is speculated to be a very painful way to die.
The easiest way to keep the people you care about safe from these chemicals is to place an air filter, like those made by Dynamic in the room with you to neutralize smoke as soon as it is produced. By employing an air filter along with an air purifier, like a Biozone or Air Oasis, you will remove particulate and reduce odors dramatically.
This same tw
o-step technology is perfect for commercial smoke removal applications like bars and nightclubs, where air that is too smoky drives away customers.
What's the best way to avoid the health risks? Find a quitting method that will work for you. The most important thing that you can do is make the decision to quit. Set a quitting date in the near future. Need some support? Call the American Cancer Society's Quitline: 1-800-ACS-2345

Seven Harmful Chemicals in Cigarettes That Will Put You Off For Life

When you go out and buy a cigarette are you aware of all the chemicals that exist in a cigarette? Well you know about Nicotine but do you know what it does to you? No I would say you honestly do not have a clue! Well I am going to tell you because if you really want to go along in life blindly smoking cigarettes then I think somebody ie ME, should open those eyes for you.

To start with before I wrote this article I was not aware of all the chemicals that are contained in that little stick you put in your mouth. Well it has been determined that the smoke from a fag emits up to 4000 chemicals which could have various toxic, mutagenic - capable of inducing mutation and carcinogenic - causing or tending to cause cancer effects.
The content and concentration of chemical ingredients can vary widely from one brand or type of cigarette to the next. Below is a list of 7 of those 4000 and what they do.

NICOTINE - (Insecticide/addictive drug) - This is one of the most addictive substances known to man. This is the chemical that causes addiction to the cigarette and is a very powerful and fast acting medical and non-medical poison.

CARBON MONOXIDE (Car Exhaust Fumes) - This is an odourless and tasteless poisonous gas. If taken in large amounts it can be fatal.

AMMONIA (toilet cleaner) - This product is found in dry cleaning products, but its use in a cigarette is to give flavouring and to release the Nicotine from the tobacco to turn it into a gas.

FORMALDEHYDE (embalming fluid) - A colourless liquid used to preserve dead bodies. It is highly poisonous and can cause cancer as well as respiratory, skin and stomach problems.
BENZENE (petrol additive) - A colourless hydrocarbon obtained from coal and petroleum. It is used as a solvent in fuel and chemical manufacture and is released in the smoke of the cigarette. It is known to cause cancer and especially leukaemia.

ACETONE (nail polish remover) - Used as a solvent and found in the smoke of the cigarette.
TAR - This is the main chemical drawn into the lungs. When a cigarette is smoked the actual smoke that is inhaled condenses and approx 70% of the tar in the smoke is deposited into the lungs.

Now that I have written the above I can see how people become addicted so easily but I cannot see any reason to not attempt to break the addiction. If anyone who wants to give up cannot see a good reason not to then I feel very sorry for their health. Also I want everyone to give up as I do not want to inhale passive smoke from anybody because I too can see what harm that must do to non smoker.
To help people stop smoking is becoming a crusade and the following blogs should help you quit. Stop Smoking Tips Reviewed! and Quit Smoking Today!

What's Inside a Cigarette?

Cigarettes have thousands of chemicals in them. There are up to 600 and more flavorings and additives found in a single stick of a cigarette. But when the cigarette is smoked, it releases up to 4000 chemicals in our environment. No wonder they say that cigarette smoking is bad for your health. So the next time you smoke, ask yourself what is in a cigarette.

Nicotine is what is in the cigarette; it is the main ingredient of cigarettes. Our blood absorbs it and gives us a rush to the brain. Nicotine produces dopamine in the brain in ten seconds. Dopamine makes you happy and it is very addictive. This is the rush that people look for when they smoke a cigarette, which is why people go through withdrawal periods when trying to stop smoking.

Acetone is also found as an additive to the cigarette; yes, that is the stuff you use to remove your nail polish. Tar is inhaled into the lungs when a person is smoking. When a person smokes one pack or more a day, they are depositing about one to 1 ½ pounds of tar into their lungs yearly. Benzene is known to cause cancer. It is also used as a solvent in dyes and fuel. And this is all found in a cigarette.

What is in a cigarette that is also expelled by the car? Carbon monoxide is found in cigarettes and it prevents the oxygen being carried around the body. This is also the same chemical dispensed by cars.
And the list goes on and on; here are some more if you really want to know. Although the list is still incomplete, it would blow your mind to think that all this is what is in a cigarette:

Acacia gum, Acetic acid, Acetone, 6 Acetoxydihydrotheaspirane, 2 Acetyl pyrazine, 2 Acetyl pyridine, Alga resinoid, oleoresin and oil, Allura Red
, Almond oil, Aluminium carbonate, Aluminium lactate, Aluminium phosphate, Aluminium trihydroxide, Amber oil, Ambrette seed oil, Ammonium acetate, +Amyl valerate,
Angelica root extract, Anise and oil

, para Anisyl alcohol, Arachis oil, Azorubin, Balsam oil, Beech tar extract, Benzaldehyde, Benzyl acetate, Bergamot oil, Bornyl acetate, Butyl acetate, Cadinene single, Calcium hydroxide, Camphene, d Camphor, Carbon dioxide, Carrot seed oil, Cascarilla oil, Cinnamyl acetate, Clove stem oil, Coriander extract, Cubeb oil, Cypress oil, Decanal, Diatomaceous earth, Diethyl sebacate

, Ethyl formate, Eucalyptol, Eugenol, Formic acid, Gentian root extract, Geranium rose oil, Ginger oil, Glyceryl triacetate, Guar gum, Hexanoic acid, Hexyl alcohol, Humic acid, Hydroxypropyl cellulose, Iron oxides, Isoamyl alcohol, Isobutyl phenethyl alcohol, Keto dihydroisophorone, Isopropyl alcohol, Labdanum absolute, Lauric acid, Lemongrass oil, Lime oil,

Linaloe wood oil, Linalyl acetate, Mimosa absolute, Methyl cellulose, Molasses extract, Mullein flowers, Musk pod extract, Phenethyl alcohol, Pigment Red, Polyvinyl acetate homo-polymer, Potassium chloride, Propane, Propionic acid, Propyl phenyl acetate, Pyroligneous acid extract, Quebracho bark extract, Rhodinol, Rose water, Rosemary oil, Rum ether.

And there is still more. So what is in a cigarette? Do you really want to know?

Quit Smoking Aids - Safe Ways to Stop Smoking Quickly

"Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health". Even if this statement is spread almost everywhere we cannot deny the fact that there are tons of people who are chain-smokers. Just recently, it is now evident that there are babies who are already chain-smokers.

Imagine how contagious it has become that even babies as young as 2 yrs. old would smoke four packs a day. I wonder how they were raised by their parents considering that they are experiencing that state from their life. This is pretty much a common case especially in South Asian countries like Indonesia. Technically, it has been reported that as of the moment, there are thousands of babies who are so into smoking right now.

Aside from that, there are disadvantages in smoking namely it decreases your IQ or otherwise known as (Intelligence Quotient) and increases your stress level. According to some researchers, it is evident that men who smoked more than a pack per day had an average IQ of 90.

Not only that, it also increases stress level over the time rather than calming your nerves which was newly discovered by some researchers. Although before it was proven that it reduces stress but then today's research is the actual opposite of reducing stress level. But what are the ways to quit this habit? What are the products to minimize such habit? Here are some tips to consider in solving this problem.

Seek support:
I know that it is not easy to quit from something that you have been doing ever since before. I advice you to seek for support before it gets worst. Hence, call your best buddy or someone who is close to you and encourage you to quit smoking. In this way, you will prevent yourself from such habit because you have moral support. Otherwise, you can join a forum perhaps and get connected with people who are also experiencing such problem and be able to work hand-in-hand.

Have a balanced diet:
In most cases, this kind of habit removes toxins from your body and so it also expels energy as well. Drink lots of water at least 8 to 10 glasses a day and follow the food pyramid. However, do not go overboard on foods such as junk foods because you are in a quest of eating the right kinds of food. Thus, eat fruits and vegetables to keep you going.

Take multi-vitamins:
Even if you are not sick or what, everyone must take vitamins in order to reduce the chances of getting diseases out from nowhere. Yes, you may feel healthy today but then you do not know that inside your body system is a catastrophe. Smokers are prone to diseases since it increases their stress level, lowers their energy, as well having the high risk of lung cancer. Hence, it is highly recommended to take multi-vitamins because as what they say "Prevention is better than cure".

Consequently, we must take good care of ourselves and stop this habit before we regret. Yes, it may feel like it is the end of the world once you stop smoking but then it is for your own good. So say no to smoke and yes to sports.

Quit Smoking Marijuana - Ways to Stop Today

If you have made the decision to quit smoking marijuana, there's no better time than at this time. Congratulations! You are worthy of more out of life than what you are right now experiencing: missed chances to do better or be more at peace in school, work and your personal life. Take your life back - reclaim your time, energy and passion! Before this you just squandered it away, bumming around, doing nothing. If you really want to be happier, you need to start out there and make things happen.

Right After You've Made the Choice to Quit
Just like with Alcoholics Anonymous, there are basic steps to quit smoking marijuana. You need to make a record of all the things you like and don't like about it - weigh what really matters. Go through what your friends, parents or boss detect about your appearance and conduct. It's not something to sentence yourself with, but something to "evaluate" where your life is right now. At the end of your list, write down a "quitting date" and sign it. You are now making a promise with yourself to quit your dependence.

The First 30 Days
Now begins the most vital period: the first two weeks of quitting marijuana. Throw away all your belongings before anything else. Make sure you do it at a spot where you can never get anything back. Getting a healthy card will require that you boot out all of them so that it will cost you big time if you endeavor to get them back.

You will soon have a lot of withdrawal signs. They'll start to disturb your mind and behavior - so prepare yourself. Focus on managing your cravings to triumph over this. You will have to assess what causes your use, the people who drive you to go back, as well as your own usual patterns.
Avoid triggers and change your rituals. Get busy with sports, a pet or do a wholesome hobby with friends. Always make sure that you go to places where it will be hard to smoke weed.

Doing the Substitution Method
Drying out for the first month is hard; your choice will really be put to the test. The less difficult way to stop smoking marijuana is to get something else to switch your cravings with. Taking up cigarettes don't count! You can try sugar free candy, gum, straw or diet soda.
Take showers whenever you feel an urge to smoke pot. As much as possible, get going to stay away from feeling bored so that the cravings won't be too much to handle.

Taking Care of Your Body
Now's the time to make "healthy body, healthy mind" your motto to quit smoking marijuana. Get enough sleep, eat right, and exercise. You'll need lots of liquids to flush weed toxins out so be prepared to take in lots of water and juices.
Cranberry juice and apple cider vinegar is good for cleaning your organs. Regular hot baths can also give some relief with post detox symptoms like depression. Skin scrubbing with ginger root is highly advisable. Do everything you can to sweat and move toxins out more quickly. Nobody said it's going to be easy, but it's well worth it to have your life back.

Do You Want To Know How to Quit Smoking Weed?

How to quit smoking weed? This question is really hard to answer, especially for those who suffer from heavy addiction to weed. Trying to stop smoking this kind of drug by yourself, without the guidance of an expert or a physician, is really hard. It can even become painful not only physically, but also psychically.

The biggest and hardest step to break the addiction to weed is admitting the situation. In fact, many people can't stop it just because they do not recognize they are really addicts.
They think they can give up smoking weed whenever they want; but this is not true! The obsession with weed is primarily psychological. Unlike alcohol and nicotine, the pot doesn't contain any addicting substance; it's the feeling of pounding heart and silliness mixed together that makes addicts what they are.

Now, let's answer the question: How to quit smoking weed?
As you know that this substance has no chemical addictive effect, you know that your body won't suffer if you deprive it from it. You can stop swallowing weed smoke right now, and you body won't feel any change. It's a good new, isn't it?

Now, you should care more about your spirit to quit weed and have a new life. Those who consume drugs exceedingly are usually people with several problems in life. They are feeling depression, stress or not living the life they are looking for. To escape from all this, they turn to weed as it provides them with a temporary feeling of relax and distress.

Now if you're serious about quitting weed, you should find an alternative to deal with your problems. Either you forget about them and fill your time with useful activities such sports, blogging, reading, playing video games, etc...or you try to face them directly and find consistent solutions.

Think of your new life once you quit smoking weed!
Once you give up smoking that poison, you will be offered a real new life. You will have no more pain, no more sorrows and no more regrets. You will love living your day and you will enjoy every task you take, because you will feel what you're doing.

Think of the new life you will have if you quit smoking, and you will have the will and courage to do it. Once you know what is waiting for you, you will sacrify what you have to get what you want. Good luck!

Marijuana and the Brain: A Teenage Disaster

Many folks falsely believe that marijuana is relatively harmless. That belief is false and can lead to serious problems, especially for teenagers. So let us review some facts about the substance here.

THC or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol is the primary active ingredient in marijuana. The short term impact of this chemical includes impaired memory and learning ability, reduced thinking and problem solving ability, distorted perception, reduced coordination, increased heart rate, and possible panic attacks. Researchers have found that the substance changes the processing of information in the hippocampus of the brain.

THC suppresses cells used for processing information. This in turn reduces learning, memory, and the integration of sensory experiences and emotion. Previously learned behaviors that depend on the hippocampus are impaired. Safe driving, effective learning, and logical thinking are not possible under the influence of marijuana.

One of the most disastrous aspects of the impact of marijuana on the brain is the permanent damage it can do to teenagers because their brains are still developing. A study at Duke University found that, among teens that use marijuana regularly and become "dependent" on it, their IQ was lowered by an average of 8 points as they reached adulthood.

That is the equivalent of dropping from the 50th percentile to the 30th percentile in intelligence! Put simply, both the short term and the long term impact of marijuana is a "dumbing down" of the teenage mind. In states like Colorado that legalize the medical use of marijuana and establish sales centers for that use, the sales centers have one goal - - sell as much as possible.

Lax rules and enforcement then lead to much greater availability of pot to teens. In view of the measured potential for damage to teenage minds; parents, educators, and legislators need to be very active in protecting teenagers from this danger.

To add a little more information, the marijuana smoke has the same negative effect on the lungs as cigarette smoke. In fact, the amount of tar and carbon monoxide absorbed is greater than that from cigarette smoke. Long term studies show that regular marijuana users demonstrate lower achievement, more deviant behavior, and poorer relationships than non-users.
Marijuana is especially toxic to the human brain. Anyone telling you that this is not true is either misinformed or deliberately misleading you.

A Message to Young People About Smoking Marijuana

As a counselor in drug addiction and human relation troubles, I've helped solve the problem of smoking marijuana many times in both teenagers and grown up people.
So, for the sake of helping you, if you are interested on knowing whether or not smoking weed is harmful to your health, I'm going to summarize all the things I've learned about the problem.

First of all: no matter how many times people say marijuana is harmful, there are some facts we must take into account before considering it as a very serious problem. I want to emphasize that I am not speaking against or in favor of smoking marijuana, I am only presenting the real facts.

Second fact: smoking pot it is not dangerous itself, but there are other things that can be beyond your control that could lead you to trouble.
If you control it, that is to say, if you can smoke moderately, (moderate means a "joint" or "nail" every few days), you could theoretically keep smoking for all your life without dangerous side-effects. The plain truth is that if you manage to smoke weed moderately, you don't have too much to worry about. However, in reality, it would be very hard to accomplish and too few people keep such control for a long time, and for some people, each day it will be harder to keep.

Third fact: lying to teens about marijuana does more harm than good. So that's the reason why I'm talking to you as plainly as I can. You're free to read this, take what is useful for you, and draw your own conclusions. It's up to you.
Let's face it: marijuana is not as harmful as many people are saying. In all honesty we must accept the fact that it is not an addictive drug, at least no more addictive than coffee, alcohol or tobacco. To look at this from another point of view: pot could be as addictive as any other thing for some individuals.

People can become addicted to chocolate, video gaming, messaging, exercising, coke, etc. I'm sure you have realized that almost every person is addict to something, and you have asked yourself how the hell your parents, your mate, or your friends are asking you to quit from smoking weed if they indeed are addicted to something. So, why stop smoking weed?

Researchers have discovered that side-effects in the brain include memory loss and deterioration of learned conducts, besides it affects behavior diminishing inhibitions. Nothing different from the damage caused by smoking tobacco or drinking alcohol. The effects on the lungs are not very different than the effects from smoking tobacco. So, what's the problem?
What is the real problem about smoking marijuana?

Here is a short and easy reading list of problems you would have from smoking marijuana:
Pot can increase your appetite, so you may eat more than you would normally causing you to gain weight.
Pot is a sexual stimulant. It causes inhibitions to diminish or completely disappear and you wouldn't realize it. You would agree more easily to have sex and not use any birth controlling method.
Although smoking pot increases your risk of cancer at the same level smoking tobacco does, this doesn't mean that you are safe.

Never drive while you are stoned or taking prescription drugs to control that problem. If you drive while stoned, you are more likely to ignore any dangerous situation, you could keep control of your car, something that drinking alcohol would diminish dramatically, but you could very easily ignore a red light or not seeing a person crossing the street.
Very much individuals declare that they didn't saw any red light they ran before causing a wreckage while driving stoned. Don't drive while stoned.

The main active chemical in marijuana is THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). In a pregnant woman, THC doesn't reach her baby through the blood stream, but a nursing mother who uses marijuana could possibly pass some of the THC to the baby through her breast milk, causing her baby to become addicted.
Research indicates that the use of marijuana by a mother during the first month of breast-feeding can impair the infant's motor development (control of muscle movement).

A study of college students has shown that critical skills related to attention, memory, and learning are impaired among people who use marijuana heavily, even after discontinuing its use for at least 24 hours. Thus, it would lead you to underachievement in school, which in turn would lead you to trouble.

The most dangerous thing about weed is getting caught with it. YOU CAN GO TO JAIL. People don't care if you were carrying that package for a friend, or because you found it somewhere and you didn't know what it was, or if it was the first time you tried pot, once they catch you with marijuana, you go to jail. Period. There's no second chance.
At this point it should be obvious that keep from or quit from smoking marijuana is a wise decision. If you are involved on using marijuana not for medical purposes, you should know that there are very useful and easy to follow methods that could help you to quit completely from smoking marijuana. If you need some help or want to know more feel free to keep reading here.

The Dangers and Side Effects of Marijuana

Marijuana is an illegal drug that is used pretty much all over the world. It is a mixture of green and brown shredded dried leaves and stems and heads(which is the plants flower), that come from the Cannabis sativa plant. There is also another form of marijuana that is stronger.
This form is known as hashish, which is commonly called hash, that looks like black or brown balls. There are numerous marijuana street names such as weed, pot, grass, reefer, Mary Jane, ganja, and dope.

Marijuana is usually rolled into cigarette papers or cigars that have been hollowed out, and is then smoked. These marijuana cigarettes are called joints or blunts. Marijuana is smoked in water pipes called bongs, or pipes called bowls too.
It is sometimes mixed into foods such as brownies and eaten also. THC is the active chemical ingredient in marijuana. When marijuana is smoked, this chemical is passed from the lungs into the bloodstream. It is then transported to the brain and body organs.
It will then reach the brain and connect with nerve cells that affect memory, coordination, pleasure, thought, concentration, and sensory and time perception. This creates the high of the marijuana.

The Naked Truth Behind Marijuana

Smoking weed, marijuana or cannabis was once considered to be a very dangerous, not to mention illegal pastime. In modern times however, advances in information technology have allowed the proliferation of free speech leading to more open talks on the uses of marijuana as well as the true effects of smoking weed on the human body. In fact, one could say that marijuana's reputation has made an almost full heel face turn within only a few years thanks to better information dissemination.

The notoriously famous internet celebrity Mugenjohncel has even created a Ren'Py visual novel game about called "Marijuana - The Truth," which is pretty much an informational documentary about the true impact of Marijuana on physical health as well as the applications of cannabis in the field of medicine.
Although the negative stigma behind smoking weed still persists, people are now a lot more informed about the naked truth behind Marijuana.

The fact of the matter is that smoking weed or pot is not really any more dangerous than overindulging in alcohol or smoking ordinary cigarettes. In fact, among substances which have been labeled as dangerous drugs, Marijuana is considered to be the least addictive. In fact, cannabis or weed is actually considered to be much less dangerous than smoking tobacco or cigarettes.
Authorities on the subject matter of substance dependence rank Marijuana's addictive properties to be less than that of coffee.
.
One issue about smoking weed that is often the subject of heated debates with compelling arguments from both sides of the Marijuana camp is about Marijuana being a gateway drug - in other words, a drug that could lead to further drug addiction towards more potent drugs such as cocaine.
On the pro-Marijuana Legalization side of the camp, they claim that since Marijuana is not an addictive drug, smoking weed is no more dangerous than smoking cigarettes with high nicotine content and that nicotine is a much more potent gateway drug than Marijuana could ever be.

One the other hand, studies undertaken on Marijuana as a gateway drug are inconclusive at best. While some studies state that there is a statistical relationship between Marijuana and other more potent drugs such as cocaine, the scientific rationale towards the transition from Marijuana to hardcore drug abuse is still a work in progress at this point.

Just what are the effects of smoking weed on the human body? Marijuana has a number of long-term as well as short-term effects, although only a few of them can be considered to be serious. For its short-term effects, smoking pot has been known to cause loss of coordination, difficulty in problem-solving and analytical thinking, memory and learning difficulties, as well as generally distorted senses.

In fact, although alcohol is a legal substance, drinking alcohol has much more dangerous short-term effects such as acute alcohol intoxication or what is better known as alcohol poisoning. As to the long-term effects of Marijuana, they are pretty much on par with that of cigarette smokers including lung damage, increased risk of cardiovascular diseases and daily coughing and increased phlegm production.

Another effect of smoking pot, which is largely unconfirmed, is that it might cause the development of cancer. What is better known is that smoking tobacco and cigarettes can cause cancer. A study conducted on people who smoke weed regularly did show an increased risk for the development of cancer, but the results of this study could not be confirmed by related, relevant studies.
It can be inferred however, that due to the similarities between smoking pot and cigarette smoking that the development of cancer through marijuana use is a definite possibility.
Over-all, the naked truth behind smoking Marijuana is that it has been largely demonized by poorly-researched, albeit well-meaning mass media campaigns against drug abuse. The substance can be dangerous, but so can anything else when the user fails to exercise moderation.

How to Stop Smoking Weed - Best Ways and Ideas

According to some experiences of quitting weed, physical withdrawals are extremely struggling and frustrating, especially for anyone gets high on a weekly basis. There are many noticeable symptoms and for anyone who smokes weed on a daily basis, the problems are even worse.

Why did I decide to quit weed after so many years of smoking? There are many reasons behind it. First of all, I did decide to quit smoking weed but hesitated on how to quit. I didn't predict what serious diseases I could possibly suffer if I keep this with me.

Health concerns
Weed smoking can stimulate and cause even worse respiratory diseases such as lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, and immune system deficiencies as well as physical or mental disorders.
Social concerns
Weed smoking certainly ruined my normal social life; I behaved like a criminal, hiding myself from my family and social friends.

As you know, smoking weed can only temporally take you away from problems. However, the problems themselves never go away, they still exist. Only when I got stoned and had a high feeling, it seemed they were away from the anxiety and depression. When the high feeling disappeared, I became conscious and realized my concerns are still with me.

Before I decided to give up weed smoking, I had work out a plan based on my individual health conditions and obtained medical and well-being advice from my drug-quitting consultant and gradually quit it.

Here is given an example indicating how as a typical long-term drug user takes to quit smoking weed.

5 weeks before stopping, I took only one hit per day. Gradually, I slowed down to one hit every-other-day. That lasted for 3 weeks. During the following 10 days, I quit smoking weed completely. My appetite was not affected, but there were many other side effects, which I had to cope with for a period of time.

Moisture skin texture
I had insomnia and unrestful sleep for a couple of weeks then the symptoms gradually disappeared naturally. I feel it is worth doing. Right now, every night I have a regular sleep routine, and my skin texture has added more moisture and is shiny.

Strength and energy
Because of the bad sleep, I suffered soreness all over my body; from my hands, arms, legs, thighs and neck to my whole back. My strength and energy gradually come back and I can eat regularly again. I eat a well-balanced and healthy diet to build up my body strength. My muscles slowly became firm, not like before when they were very loose.

Get along with family and friends
For the first couple of weeks, my mood swung constantly and I was very sensitive and irritable to everything happening around me. But I could feel that slowly I could get along with my family and friends. I didn't behave like a criminal hiding from them. I started to talk to my family and ring my friends and was keen dining out. It seems the world was becoming more interesting and attractive to me.

Talkative manner
I was prone to talking to relieve depression and anxiety. This manner really helped me to get out of my depression and anxiety. My family and friends were really helpful and acted as listeners to help me get out of such a tough situation as quitting weed is.

Heart rate slowly decreased
For the first couple of weeks, my heart rate increased and reached to an abnormal level which really concerned me. But it only lasted for a couple of weeks, then, the rate became stable again and gradually slowed down and reached a normal level.

Discover the Easy Way to Stop Smoking - And Kick That Nasty Habit to the Curb!

"The Easy Way To Stop Smoking" - does such a thing exist? Two weeks ago, I would have told you "no!"
From everyone I had heard from who had tried to quit smoking, it was the hardest thing in the world. Most had tried multiple times to quit smoking but kept going back to it, especially when something bad or stressful would happen in their lives.

The only people I had heard of who were able to quit smoking easily were my grandfather - who only smoked a pipe... and my roommate in college - who only smoked at parties. I didn't think it was possible for a regular "full time smoker" to find and easy way to stop smoking because of all the physical withdrawal symptoms that their body would go through as an effect of getting the nicotine out of their system.

But then, I was surprised to hear about a Stop Smoking program that had a 97% success rate. And the people who went through the program were able to quit in 7 days without all of the usual headaches and cravings that seem to be part of the quitting smoking process for many people.

I don't know all the quit smoking statistics, but I would guess that a success rate like that is higher than most smoking cessation programs.
Even if you take all the stop smoking aids like the nicotine gum and patches... I feel like you just get addicted to those instead of to cigarettes.

To me, it makes sense to find out what other people are doing who have stopped smoking successfully and then duplicate their success.
That's why I think you should read more about the easy way to stop smoking that I discovered. I wrote a little article about it on my website. Read my story, read the testimonials and then make the decision yourself if you're really ready to quit smoking for good!

Of course, if you don't believe it and want other easy way to stop smoking [http://www.easystopsmokinghelp.com/the-easy-way-to-stop-smoking/], I've got a separate article about that for you here!

10 Tips to Quit Smoking

Tip #1: Choose a strong, personal reason to quit
"Because it's bad for you" isn't good enough. To have the will power to quit and stay quit you need a powerful and personal reason to quit. Maybe you have small children and don't want to expose them to second hand smoke. Perhaps you have a family history of cancer and are deathly afraid. Come to a conclusion of what is the best reason for you to quit. Something that is mightier than the urge to light up.

Tip #2: Don't Just Go Cold Turkey
We've all heard of people going "cold turkey". It sound tempting to just throw out your cigarettes but going cold turkey is very difficult to do and I don't recommend it. Over 90% over people who quit smoking without the help of therapy or medication end up relapsing and go right back to smoking. This is because nicotine is very addictive. Your brain is used to having nicotine and it likes it, it craves it. When nicotine becomes absent, intense symptoms of nicotine withdrawal occur.

Tip #3: Use Nicotine-Replacement Therapy (NRT)
When you stop smoking the craving for "just one more drag" on a cigarette will be overwhelming. When you quit smoking you will experience intense withdrawal symptoms. You feel irritable, restless, frustrated and depressed. But nicotine-replacement therapy can reduce and control these feelings. Nicotine patches, lozenges and gum will help double your chances of quitting successfully. It is generally not recommended to use these medications while smoking.

Tip #4: Ask your Doctor about nicotine prescription pills
The probability of successful quitting is much higher when NRT medication is used. The use of nicotine-containing medication is a transition step to not having to use any medication eventually after you have successfully quit and taken back your life from nicotine addiction/withdrawal. Medication delivered by mouth or through a patch is not like smoking. Developing a dependency on these medications is uncommon. Some examples of prescription Nicotine-Replacement Therapy pills are: Bupropion (Generic: Zyban, Wellbutrin SR), and Varenicline (Generic:

Chantix) you would start these medications 1-2 weeks before your quit date and continue to use them for 2-6 months. A nicotine inhaler or nasal spray (Nicotrol) is another means of withdrawal control your doctor may order for you. These pills and sprays will help reduce and control your cravings to smoke. They affect chemicals in the brain. If you were to smoke a cigarette while on these medications it would be far less satisfying. Your physician may also order other medications to relieve feelings of depression and/or the inability to concentrate. Let your doctor help you stop smoking.

Tip #5: Don't Quit Alone/Pick a Quit Date and tell everyone
Tell everyone you know that you are quitting smoking. Tell your family and all of your friends and co-workers that you are quitting. The encouragement you receive will make all the difference on the most difficult days when you are tempted to pick up a cigarette.
They will be more supportive of you and understanding of your irritability (everyone has some) if they know what you are undertaking. Ask your doctor to recommend a support group or a counselor to speak with as well. Combining medications with counseling will increase the probability of your quitting.

Tip #6: Manage Your Stress/Reward yourself
Most people will tell you that they smoke because the nicotine helps them relax. While and after quitting you'll need other ways to handle daily stress. When ever you think of smoking, take a walk. Physical activity always helps to decrease stress and it magically gives you a positive outlook. Listen to your favorite music and get a massage every two weeks as a reward for quitting.

If at all possible try to avoid stressful situations during the first few weeks of quitting. This is why it is crucial to communicate with people in your life to let them know that you are quitting smoking. As you enjoy all your new found health benefits you will realize you have more money in your pocket. One huge benefit of quitting smoking is all the money you will save.

Spend this money on yourself as your reward for quitting. Invest in a new hobby or buy a gym membership. When you quit smoking your life will change in many ways you never imagined. New habits will come to you. Invest in yourself and build a better life.

Tip #7: Avoid Triggers
Certain habits or activities will increase the temptation to smoke. Drinking alcohol is one of the most common triggers. Because almost all smokers must have a cigarette lit when they are drinking. You need to make some new habits. When you do drink socially, chew on a straw or swizzle stick in place of a cigarette. If coffee is a trigger switch to tea or again use a swizzle stick instead. And if you usually smoke after meals, you must find something new to do instead. Try brushing your teeth or popping some gum in your mouth in place of a cigarette. Your mouth will appreciate it!

Tip #8: Clean House of all traces of cigarettes
As soon as you finish smoking your last cigarette, get rid of all your lighters and ashtrays. Clean your carpets, curtains and furniture. Spray everything with a fresh fragrance and wash the last of your smoke-smelling clothes. You don't need to see or smell anything that reminds you of smoking.

Tip #9: Move Your Body!
Exercise always makes your mind and body feel more alive and clear. It will help reduce nicotine cravings and ease many withdrawal symptoms. Keep your mind and your body busy. Haven't you always wanted to have a garden? Well, now's the perfect time to plant one! You'll be busy pulling weeds before you know it and enjoying all your delicious vegetables.
When you feel yourself wanting to smoke, go for a walk with your dog instead or head to the gym where you can really get away from it all! The extra calories you burn will also ward off any weight you may gain as you are well on your way to quitting smoking.

Tip #10: Try Try again!
While quitting it's very common to fall back and have a relapse. Almost all smokers try several times before finally quitting for good. Investigate and examine the reasons and circumstances of why you had a relapse. Re-set your quit date again if you have to, but never give up. It's never too late to quit! View these as opportunities to reaffirm and remember the strong personal reasons for initially quitting and recommit yourself to those goals of living a healthier and longer life.
